Easy & Delicious French Toast

Ingredients:
- Sourdough bread: 2-4 slices per person
- Eggs: 1 egg per slice of bread)
- ½ cup milk, or half and half for a bit richer flavor
- ½ tsp vanilla
- Syrup
- Butter
- Other toppings you might like: sliced fruit (strawberries, blueberries, or bananas), or chopped nuts
Other tools:
- Medium bowl
- Whisk
- Kitchen tongs
- Spatula
- Griddle or frying pan
- Nonstick spray
It’s toast time!
- Crack eggs into the bowl and whisk until well whipped. Add the milk and vanilla, and whisk to combine.
- Heat griddle (or frying pan) over medium high heat and give a light spray with nonstick spray.
- Dip each piece of bread quickly in the egg mixture and remove with tongs. Don’t let the bread just sit in the egg mixture. Do quick dips and place directly onto the griddle.
- Cook until lightly browned and crispy on both sides.
- Serve with butter, syrup, and other toppings of your choice.
